An owner has the freedom to select his/her preferred mode of notification. If SMS is selected, an SMS is sent every time the speed limit is crossed.

What kind of warranty coverage will Blue Link have?
Blue Link equipment will be covered under the 5-Year/60,000-Mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

What is the Monthly Vehicle Report?
Monthly Vehicle Report contains useful information about your car. It reports any problems and summarizes performance over the month.

Will Blue Link be available as an aftermarket accessory?
No. At this time, Blue Link is being launched as part of the standard equipment of the vehicles.

What is Blue Link? Why do you need Blue Link?
Blue Link is Hyundai's innovative telematics solution that combines safety, service and infotainment into a complete package. It works to both help simplify Hyundai owners` lives and reduce distracted driving.

What is unique about Blue Link compared to its competitors?
Blue Link offers a significant number of features that are customizable through MyHyundai.com. Also, at the heart of Blue Link is an innovative voice recognition system with human support in the background to ensure a robust and streamlined experience.

What vehicles will offer Blue Link?
Blue Link will be available on the 2013 Genesis Coupe, 2012 Azera, Sonata, Sonata Hybrid, and the all-new exciting Veloster 3-door coupe. Over the next couple of years, Blue Link will be rolled out and available on all our models.

How can a customer sign up for Blue Link?
For now, customers can stay informed by signing up for more information on the HyundaiBlueLink.com website. When it is available, most customers will sign up for Blue Link at the dealership or via the web.

Will I need my cell phone to be able to use Blue Link`s features?
Blue Link is an embedded system, which means that you will be able to use most of the features without the need to have your cell phone in the car. However, some functions are enhanced with your cell phone through the mobile application.

What smartphones are compatible with Blue Link?
Your performance will vary depending on your device operating software, device firmware, service carrier, and any user modifications (i.e. third party operating software). Please check back often as the list of certified device configurations will be continuously updated.

Is Blue Link a different company from Hyundai?
No, Blue Link is a Hyundai-owned product.

Are there a la carte options for Blue Link services?
No, Blue Link is bundled in three, easy-to-use packages that offer an extensive value.

Can I still use Blue Link`s features if I get a car with no navigation unit?
Yes, Blue Link will be able to send turn-by-turn directions to the radio displays in non-navigation equipped cars.

What type of connection does Blue Link use?
Blue Link uses CDMA-based cellular networks to connect to its central server. However, Blue Link features are subject to adequate cellular coverage, signal strength and battery power, and will only be available in the 50 United States.

How many features will Blue Link have?
Blue Link will have over 30 different features in 3 different packages.

Will Voice Text Messaging affect my personal text message allotment?
No, the Voice Text Messaging feature uses your cell phone to dial the Blue Link voice text number. The message you provide will be translated into text and sent to the recipient through the Blue Link server. So it will use your minutes, but not your text message allotment. Of course, the recipient will be charged for opening the message.

How do I activate the Blue Link system in my new vehicle?
Easy activation is available at your local Hyundai dealership. If you forget to enroll at the time of purchase, you can also enroll on the MyHyundai.com website.

Is there a limit to the number of times I can contact Blue Link?
No, you can contact Blue Link as often as you like. You can access Blue Link in the car, from your smartphone, or from a computer at your home or office.

What kind of hardware does my Blue Link-equipped vehicle have?
Blue Link-equipped vehicles have a Blue Link telematics unit, interior mirror with Blue Link button, and special Blue Link-enabled audio or navigation unit.

Which features will require my mobile phone for access?
The only Blue Link feature that relies on the customer`s Bluetooth mobile phone is the Voice Text Messaging feature. This requires the customer`s phone for identification purposes and the voice minutes are charged to the customer`s mobile phone plan.

What type of antenna does Blue Link use?
The Blue Link system uses a new multi-band antenna on the top of the car. This is a shark-fin antenna. This antenna is a cellular, GPS and satellite radio antenna.

How does Enhanced Roadside Assistance work?
The Enhanced Roadside Assistance will provide the GPS coordinates for your vehicle when making a Roadside Assistance call from inside the vehicle using the Blue Link buttons.

How does Stolen Vehicle Immobilization involve the police?
The Blue Link Customer Care agent works together with the police and triggers the vehicle to be slowed down and immobilized once the trailing officers give the instruction to the Blue Link Customer Care to immobilize the vehicle.
