The first retail sale of the Tucson Fuel Cell is expected within the next several weeks in Southern California.
Hyundai Motor Chosen for Third Consecutive Year for European Commission Backed Hydrogen Fuel Cell Demonstrations
May 2, 2014 - Hyundai Motor’s ix35 Fuel Cell has been selected for the third consecutive year by the European Commission-backed Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) to demonstrate the real-world benefits of hydrogen fuel cell technology.
HYUNDAI RECEIVES STRONG CONSUMER INTEREST WITH 88,000 VISITORS TO ITS DEDICATED FUEL CELL MICROSITE IN JUST TWO MONTHS
WASHINGTON D.C., Jan. 22, 2014 – Hyundai is witnessing exceptionally strong consumer interest in its next-generation Tucson Fuel Cell CUV, with more than 88,000 unique visitors to its Hyundai.com fuel cell microsite since the program’s November introduction. Consumers selected for the program can drive the Tucson Fuel Cell for just $499 per month, which includes unlimited free hydrogen refueling and “At Your Service” valet maintenance at no extra cost. For the first time, retail consumers will be able to put a federally-certified hydrogen fuel cell vehicle in their driveways, with availability beginning in late Spring 2014 at select Southern California Hyundai dealers.

At the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, Hyundai announced the next generation electric vehicle, the 2015 Tucson Fuel Cell. For the first time, retail consumers will be able to put a mass-produced, federally certified hydrogen fuel cell vehicle in their driveways, with availability beginning in Spring 2014 at several Southern California Hyundai dealers.

HYUNDAI PREPS HYDROGEN ENERGY GENERATION AND FUELING STATION IN CHINO, CALIF. FOR FIRST-EVER PUBLIC OPENING
CHINO, Calif., August 5, 2013 – The California Energy Commission (CEC) has awarded Hydrogen Frontier, Inc. a $3 million grant to build a new 100 percent renewable hydrogen fueling station for fuel cell electric vehicles at Hyundai’s hydrogen energy generation and fueling station in Chino, Calif.
Hyundai Motor delivers first 15 hydrogen-powered ix35 Fuel Cell in Europe
June 3, 2013 - Hyundai Motor Company has today delivered the first of its assembly line-produced ix35 Fuel Cell vehicles to the City of Copenhagen in Denmark. They were handed over by Hyundai Motor Europe, Hyundai Motor’s European sales subsidiary, during the opening ceremony of Denmark’s first hydrogen refuelling station.
HYUNDAI JOINS DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY IN NEW PARTNERSHIP FOCUSED ON FUEL CELLS
COSTA MESA, Calif., May 16, 2013 – Hyundai is uniting with the Energy Department on a new public-private partnership called H2USA, which will focus on advancing hydrogen infrastructure to support more transportation energy options for U.S. consumers, including fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). Named after the chemical symbol for hydrogen, the H2USA partnership brings together government agencies, gas suppliers, the hydrogen and fuel cell industries and automakers including Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Toyota.
New ix35 brings host of technological upgrades to Hyundai’s hugely-popular C-segment SUV
